I’ve met so many wonderful people through this little blog of mine. Other designers, testers, seamstresses, crafters, cooks, people that hope-to-someday craft and sew, and many others. And I’ve gained so many new friends. Awww, you guys.
And to all of you that read this… whether it’s for curiosity, enjoyment, inspiration or because I make you (love you, hubby)…thanks!
Thanks for always commenting.
Thanks for sharing posts.
Thanks for inspiring me and giving me challenges to create something for you.
Thanks for supporting a mother of 4.
I blog because my kids sometimes drive me crazy.
I craft because I want to show them that you don’t need a tv show or video games to be entertained.
I cook because I’m trying to teach them healthy habits while young.
And I design because I want people to be happy in their clothes and comfortable with their bodies. One of the reasons I decided not to pursue a career in fashion after I got my degree was I knew how the industry worked. It’s about making you self-conscious enough to buy their designs with hope that you’ll look like that. That’s not what I want to promote. I want to promote positive self images and teach my girls that they don’t have to flash a little cleave or hang out of their shorts to get attention. Nothing is more beautiful than someone comfortable in their clothes and happy with themselves. And I hope you’ll see that reflected in my designs. I design for regular people that want something a little extra special and fun. 🙂
So, to all of you that managed to read all of this…thanks!
Thanks for all of your love and support.
You inspire me. 🙂
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you Rachel! I was on the blog tour for the Delilah and I get so many compliments on it. I love your designs. After struggling to find clothes to fit me I decided I was just going to start sewing my own. With a narrow waist and thick thighs I was sick of stuff being big in the waist and barely squeezing over my legs.
Keep up your awesome work!!
Aww Jonie, thanks! Honestly, I didn’t think there was a market for my designs. But I’ve received such a positive response from the Cinnabar Sky dress that it really gives me some encouragement to keep designing. So thank you for commenting. 🙂
